Brenda is a 2007 graduate of the Wisconsin School of Massage Therapy and is a Licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Wisconsin. In addition to working at Bakke Clinic, Brenda has also been a massage therapy instructor for over 6 years and currently teaches at Madison College. Brenda loves teaching and sharing her passion for massage with her students.
Brenda became interested in massage therapy after finding it beneficial in her own life. She takes pride in her ability to help clients work through complicated problems. Brenda’s therapeutic skills include Craniosacral Therapy, Neuromuscular Therapy, Myofascial Release, lymphatic drainage massage, and specific stretching techniques to improve range of motion. Brenda plans to continue her education in craniosacral therapy for pediatrics in the future.
Brenda is certified in Prenatal, Postnatal, and Labor massage therapy which allows her to have a deeper understanding of the needs of expectant mothers. As a mother herself, Brenda understands the importance of feeling your best during and after pregnancy.
Brenda enjoys providing massage for both pre- and post-natal discomfort, pain management, migraine, and headache relief, relieving temporomandibular joint dysfunction, and influencing edema. She appreciates the variety of treating athletes, children, and people of all ages and needs. She finds it most rewarding when a client tells that they have received great benefit from the massage. She feels that educating her clients about their bodies and providing self-care techniques is an important part of getting the most of their massage.
Brenda is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association, AMTA.
Brenda has four grandchildren whom she adores and devotes much of her free time to be with them. She enjoys kayaking, hiking, and other outdoor activities.
